Bodywork is a general term describing a variety of hands-on healing arts including various kinds of massage.
When on the table, it's best to focus on your breath.

Be aware that you may experience some discomfort if getting a massage right after a full meal.
Accupressure Massage
an ancient healing therapy that utilizes fingers to depress key locations on the skin's surface to prompt healing withing the body. Similar to acupuncture, acupressure uses the same reference points on the body that release muscular stress; thus encouraging better blood circulation.
Alexander Technique
promotes adequate appropriation of effort and energy in individual activities; thus allowing more vitality for items on one's personal, daily agenda.
Ampuku Abdominal Massage
an integral part of Shiatsu, Ampuku can: release congestion, relax internal organs, harmonize the stomach and intestinal functions, open up the joints, make the muscles more flexible, promote digestion and elimination, and strengthen the memory and body, thus improving chronic conditions.
CranioSacral Therapy
a light, gentle therapy works the bones and underlying membranes of the skull to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.
Deep-Tissue Massage
a more intensive form of Swedish massage that releases chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on contracted areas. Due to the release of toxins during this massage, you may feel some discomfort and should feel better 2 days after your appointment.
Heated (Hot) Stone Massage
heat and energy from the stones allow the therapist to work deeper on muscles for a truly relaxing experience.

Myofascial Release
Derived from the the Latin words "myo" - meaning muscle, and "fascia" - for band; myofascial release therapy releases tension from the fibrous bands of connecting tissue (fascia). Myofascial release therapy aims to free constrictions or blockages in the fascia, thereby alleviating problems with connective tissue scarring or injury.
Neuromuscular Therapy
is utilized for pain due to injury, overuse or postural imbalances. Therapeutic treatment involves improving circulation to finding and deprogramming the patterns of trigger points, and addressing soft tissue involvement in nerve entrapment.
Pregnancy or Prenatal Massage
therapeutic massage focussing on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through dramatic changes. Benefits of prenatal massage will include relieving headaches and sinus congestion, backaches, leg cramps, swollen ankles and sciatic pain. Can only be booked after first trimester. Maximum treatment length is 60 minutes.
Reflexology
the ancient Chinese technique that uses pressure-point massage (usually on the feet, hands and ears) to restore the flow of energy throughout the body. By using pressure on these points the therapist can help eliminate toxins, relax the entire body, and stimulate the healthy functioning of internal organs.
Reiki
an ancient healing art that utilizes universal life force energy to promote healing on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. This is not a physical massage but a channeled energy work that restores energy and helps maintain physical, mental and emotional balance.
Seated Massage
massage primarily focussing on the back, shoulders and neck on someone who is sitting in a massage chair whose head is resting in a padded cradle.
Shiatsu
a massaging technique involving pressure applied along the energy meridians and acupressure points of the body in order to unblock & balance the body's energy and promote balance. This massage is fully-clothed and done on floor mats.
Sports Massage
An integration of Swedish massage techniques that specifically cater to athletes in order to keep the athlete's or sports aficionados' muscles and tissue in prime condition, relieving any undesirable effects of training.
Swedish Massage
The classic Swedish massage incorporates long fluid strokes of varying depth and pressure to enhance the body's natural functioning. It improves muscle tone, circulation and joint flexibility.
Thai Massage
Restore your well-being with the manipulation of muscles and joints using passive yoga, like stretching and gentle pressure. Sometimes referred to as the "Yoga for lazy people", this session is done on floor mats, while wearing loose comfortable clothing.
Triggerpoint Therapy
the technique of applying concentrated pressure on areas of hyper-irritability within soft tissue structures, characterized by local tenderness including pain, tingling, numbness burning, or itching..
